The D.P. Todd Travel Club has been taking students on tours for many years. Recently, Ms. Wells took over the club, and is looking forward to the amazing opportunities to travel abroad with students!

Mariden Educational Tours, our current tour group, has been organizing student and adult tours all over the world since 1991. DP Todd has used Mariden for several student tours over the past years.

Ms. Wells chaperoned a tour with Mariden to London, England; Paris, France, and Ypres, Belgium in 2012. She has also traveled all over North America; she has been across Canada, from BC to Ontario; all over Vancouver Island and down the entire Pacific West Coast of Washington, Oregon, and California; through the U.S. states of Nevada, Arizona, and New York; and to Puerto Peñasco, and Cancún, Mexico!

We all know that travel is important for youth; it offers a variety of educational experiences and it gives them an even greater idea of what is really going on in the world they live in. Your child may learn about different cultures at school and through a textbook, but it's nothing compared to actually going to another country and experiencing it in person.

There are so many things to do around the world that can help students appreciate different cultures and unique traditions. Travel also allows time for exploration, acquiring new skills, and offers them a sense of confidence. Sometimes seeing how other people live make them so much more grateful for what they have at home.

You can rest assured knowing that safety is key on with the tour group and its partnerships of reputable educational tour providers. Your son or daughter will be in good hands with a 24 hour tour director who meets us at the airport, a 24 hour group leader, 1 adult chaperone for every 6 students, as well as local tour guides who all work together to provide support and protection around the clock so that all your son or daughter has to do is focus on learning, having fun, and getting the most out of their experience abroad.

The cost of the trip varies depending on destination, however, you will see from the proposed itineraries these are “all-inclusive” trips. The price includes all of your child’s round-trip flights, their hotels, two meals a day, all of their museum entrance fees, and all of their transportation within the different cities.  There are also pre-arranged payment plans to help make the cost of the trip easier on families.

Thank you so much for considering allowing your child to travel with us! We look forward to hearing from you. Feel free to email Ms. Wells anytime at dwells@sd57.bc.ca
